Children’s Adventure Company was founded in 1986 by Dee Gregory, whose passion for nurturing well-rounded, compassionate, nature-loving children laid the foundation for the program. Beginning in her home in Santa Fe with a small group of children, Dee’s vision has since enriched the lives of thousands.

As one of the first participants at the age of four in 1988, I witnessed Dee’s profound impact firsthand. Through her guidance, I learned invaluable lessons about compassion and self-esteem, explored creativity through art, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, and yoga, and developed a sense of citizenship by caring for our environments. Dee also fostered inclusivity by creating spaces where children of all needs could thrive together. I realized years later how deeply she shaped my life, inspiring me to pursue a teaching degree in education and music at the University of Redlands.

With a dream to lead an afterschool and summer camp similar to Children’s Adventure Company  I returned to work alongside Dee 20 years ago and to learn from  my mentor.  14 years ago Dee entrusted me with the directorship of CAC and 9 years ago, upon Dee’s retirement I became the  Owner. It is with deep gratitude that I carry forward Dee’s legacy. Loventure was born out of my long-held dream to expand the CAC experience to include children for whom it would otherwise be out-of-reach.
